We plan to open entries for the event by New Years. We have a lot of things we
are working on for this event that we hope to be able to have confirmed and
announce in the weeks to come.
Racers from all countries are invited. This race will also qualify them to enter
the RC Pro International Finals in November 2009.
The initial entry limit will be 150 racers. If these fill by May 1st we plan to
open an additional 50 entries and bring in lights so we can finish qualifying
after dark.
Entry will be available on
www.rcsignup.com and can be paid via paypal. Each racer will receive a
packet and we are working on the contents of that packet now.
Also I will be attending from the US to be the race director for this event. We
are 8 months away and I'm ready to leave NOW!

<description>

Hobao are proud to announce Jon Hazelwood as a team driver for
2009.

Jon, a World and European finalist, has chosen to run the new and exciting Hyper

great relationship with CML made his decision an easy one.

Jon said, 'I have always wanted race with the
guys at CML, and the new Hyper 9 provided a great opportunity for that to
happen. Having tested the car I feel I am in the right place and that I will be
able to achieve great results with the Hobao.'

Hobao and CML welcome Jon to the team, and would like to wish him the all the

<title>Graham Alsop and Rachel Merry Join the Mirage and Hotbodies Team</title>
<link>http://piraterc.com/modules.php?op=modload&amp;name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=2342</link>
<description>

Mirage and Hot Bodies are proud to announce the arrival of Graham Alsop to their
UK 1/8th Rallycross team.
Graham finished 2nd in the 2008 National series after a season long tussle with
Neil Cragg but, in the final race of the year Graham lost out to Neil.
After some serious off-season testing Graham found the D8 buggy to be the
easiest and most consistently fast buggy to drive. Along with the unparalleled
backing of Mirage's extensive range of race products Graham's choice was easy to
make where to go for 2009.
Already, Graham has chosen O'Donnell fuel to feed the engine of his choice.
Nosram LiPo packs will provide the power to the radio gear. Edit option parts
will provide his D8 with the finishing touches to wring every ounce of
performance from the D8.
Graham brings a wealth of R/C knowledge and his results over the last few years
that show a consistent improvement at the very top level of the sport.

Also joining the Mirage team will be Rachel Merry. Rachel is known as the first
lady of RC and more recently Graham's long suffering pit-crew.
Rachel isn't to be messed with on the track though and has a mean turn of speed
when she gets behind the wheel. Rachel will also be piloting the HB D8 buggy
through 09 and using Mirage branded products to power her D8.
Graham and Rachel join 2008 HB 'Lone Ranger' Tony Truman. Tony managed heroics
in 2008 with the Lightning Pro Evo, piloting the car to a National A final
appearance. He then piloted the D8 straight into the A main on it's UK debut at
the Talywain National. Finishing the year off by winning the Junior
Championships.
Welcome to the Mirage Racing Team Graham and Rachel.

<title>Answer-RC Brake Release Springs 12pk</title>
<link>http://piraterc.com/modules.php?op=modload&amp;name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=2340</link>
<description>

New from Answer-RC are these brake release springs. Pack
include 3 cars worth in different colours so you can have it looking just how
you want it.
These springs suit pretty much all nitro cars, buggies, truggies and trucks.
They help to release the brake from the disc to prevent drag, this is
particularly of use if the brake assembly is getting sloppy or under high loads
in long finals.

<title>Tamiya TRF 801XT 1/8th Truggy Review</title>
<link>http://piraterc.com/modules.php?op=modload&amp;name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=2335</link>
<description>

The first I'd heard the name TRF-801XT was when I was given
the chance to review the car - I knew very little about the car and hoped it
wouldn't be a cheapening of the 'TRF' name but upon closer inspection it looked
to have all the right stuff.&amp;nbsp; The 801XT is the result of Tamiya USA and more
specifically their top driver David Jun and the insistance that competing in
this growing class would be a 'good thing'.&amp;nbsp; The car was designed in the USA and
overseen by the guys in Japan - but make no mistake, this is the baby of Tamiya
USA.
