<title>Clanfield Winter Series RD4 Hazelwood Scoops the no 1 spot with his Xray 2010</title>

1st Jon Hazlewood&amp;nbsp; 31/20m 1.12&amp;nbsp; Xray 808-10&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;
2nd Tommy Chung 31/20m 13.99 Kyosho MP9&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;
3rd Brennan Ralls 31/20m 21.37&amp;nbsp; Xray 808-10&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;
Having had several weeks off due to cancelled events &amp;amp;
flooding, the return of good dry weather all week meant Tony could get a roller
to the track &amp;amp; what a track he gave us.&amp;nbsp; The jumps now formed well &amp;amp; a smooth
surface led to low grip but very enjoyable. Plenty there even though Herts was
also running with Hazelwood venturing out in the new vantage nice bit of kit
very shinny with pit man rusty. The vintage mr chung like myself many years &amp;amp;
veteran to the hobby. 08 dirt master Racey &amp;amp; many more fast guys would lead to a
great day. I came straight from work &amp;amp; just in time to put several laps in for
practice which was needed to shake out the cobwebs.</description>

<title>Team Durango R explained – prices for the DEX410R</title>
<link>http://piraterc.com/modules.php?op=modload&amp;name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=2843</link>
<description>
					Team Durango has made its name around top quality and
					innovative thinking. This no-compromise approach can make
					Team Durango cars a little too expensive for some, leaving
					cars like the DEX410 affordable for only the fortunate few.
					Team Durango ‘R’ kits will change this.For Team Durango,
					‘R’
					means Regular Racing specification. Our ‘R’ specification
					cars share the same Team Durango DNA, performance and
					innovation, but with a more ‘regular’ specification that is
					normal or even ‘team-spec’ for most other cars on the
					market.
					Team Durango ‘R’ means performance and innovation,
					combined with affordability and an accessible, personal
					upgrade path. Our ‘R’ cars will be available for all Team
					Durango models as a step-in point for Team Durango
					ownership, but the no-compromise ‘Team Durango’ premium
					version will typically arrive first for hard-core Team
					Durango fans.
					Our philosophy is to develop the ‘Team Durango’ ultimate
					race car first, using handmade test cars and then, later,
					see where costs can shaved for the “R” version.
					At Team Durango we test our theories with hand-made cars,
					like the DEX210 2wd being raced at the Yatabe Arena in Japan
					this weekend. Once the theories have been proven with
					prototypes, we refine the design, make it production ready,
					do more testing, and finally we launch the best car we can.
					Only later will it get the ‘R’ treatment.
					Other companies design, sell, see what breaks, sell
					options; then sell a ‘team spec’ car – Team Durango won’t
					take this approach.
					The first Team Durango ‘R’ car will be the
					DEX410’R’ which is also going through final testing.
					Street prices for the DEX410R will be US$350, €230 and £210
					(these process all exclude local sales taxes/VAT)
					Expected availability – End of April 2010 – full spec and
					photos available next week

<title>XB808 Podium Finishes at the Middle East Cup</title>
<link>http://piraterc.com/modules.php?op=modload&amp;name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=2840</link>
<description>

The finals got underway and after a very bad start (being
bumped left and right), with very aggressive inconsistent driving I managed to
push my way up the 15 driver ladder to 4th spot and kept things there for a
while.With my pitman working things out, I was pushing 3rd and then 2nd for the
last 10 minutes. But then the lack of sleep started kicking in once again so I
decided to keep things consistent and drive more relaxed.

<description>

&amp;nbsp;
	This past weekend was the 11th Annual Dirt Nitro Challenge
	at The Nitro Pit in Surprise, Arizona. This event originally started in
	Southern California and just recently moved out to Arizona.
	In the Open Truggy Class, rising star Carson Wernimont
	qualified 2nd overall with his Kyosho ST-RR in this highly competitive
	class. The 45-minute A-Main would be ran on Saturday to determine the
	champion. At the start of the main, Carson got a good start making it
	through the difficult &amp;quot;12 pack&amp;quot; on the opening lap and paced himself with
	the leader. At the half way point of the race, Carson took over the lead.
	When the checkered flag waved, it was Carson Wernimont crossing the finish
	line 1st, taking home his first of many big wins to come.
	Great Job Carson!

  The buggy qualification was dominated by Elliot Boots taking all 4 rounds powered by his new RB B9 engine with only Elliot and Darren completing 10 laps.
  The truggy TQ was Michael Lewis taking 2 rounds only truggy to complete 10 laps followed by Piers Pearson and Rob Gray.

<title>Mike Malott wins CRCRC Sportsman Buggy Championship</title>
<link>http://piraterc.com/modules.php?op=modload&amp;name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=2828</link>
<description>

&amp;nbsp;
Race Report by Mike Malott,
The 2010 season has started off awesome. I have switched back
to the Associated RC8B buggy and the results are finally starting to show. I
have ran 3 races so far in 2010 and have had a good showing at each race.
&amp;nbsp;
This past weekend I traveled to Columbus, OH for the 2010 Midwest Winter Champs
Race. I showed up on Thursday morning to be greeted with an awesome track I was
ready to go. I signed up for the Sportsman 1/8 Buggy class with hopes of making
a good showing for all my sponsors and maybe making it into the A Main. There
were 41 entries in the Sportsman class and I knew I would have my work cut out
for me to make the A.

<title>Round 3 Delta RC winter series</title>
<link>http://piraterc.com/modules.php?op=modload&amp;name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=2826</link>
<description>

&amp;nbsp;

		A little update on how things are going over here in Nor-Cal. We just
		finished the third round of the winter series at Delta RC a week ago and
		we had Ryan Lutz attend along with local fast guy Tyler Vik and it was a
		great battle for the TQ spot.
		I ended up TQ in both buggy and truggy
		with Green Kingpins in buggy. The main was a great battle between Vik
		and I. We swapped positions through the race and I led most the race,
		but had some bad luck getting through traffic and a couple mistakes by
		myself. Vik got me at the end with a great run.
		Truggy went a little
		better with leading from start to finish! My Losi 8ight 2.0's are always
		fast and fun to drive every time I hit the track especially with my
		always dependable Novarossi engines and Nitrotane fuel. I will be
		heading down to So-Cal soon to get away from all this rain we are having
		for some outdoor action!
