New Stuff: A Sure Start review by Brennan Ralls (1257 Reads)
Posted by admin on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 - 03:17 PM news

A while back John Bennett of RC Sure start sent me an engine pre heater to test, promote & give some feed back. To be honest its an area I have never really bothered on although for years I have seen guys with hot air guns trying to warm up the engine heads, for me that just looked to much like hard work to be fun. With the onset of winter now was a great opportunity to put the Sure Start to the test & with its simple design seemed a cracking bit of kit.

Race Reports: Clanfield RC Sure Start Winter Series (1296 Reads)
Posted by admin on Monday, November 22, 2010 - 04:10 PM news

It was a cold November morning and the first round of the new Clanfield RC Winter Series, Clanfield has gone through some drastic changes with a new committee taking over the running of the club so I was keen to see what changes were in store for this first meeting. The racer's were greeted with a very warm welcome from the newly formed Committee. Going over a few points, and to take into account everything takes time to change. They have all ready done a fantastic job tidying up the facilities and working on improving the track condition.

Latest News: R/C Car Magazine shuts its doors (566 Reads)
Posted by admin on Monday, November 22, 2010 - 08:23 AM news

r/c car magazine

The magazine industry is in heavy decline and the latest casualty of this is RC Car magazine. R/C Car editors announced the sad news in their respective Blogs see the below extract from Executive Editor Stephen Bess

"  Last Friday was a difficult day.  As Jason and Aaron have mentioned in their final blogs, R/C Car was brought to a close a little over a week ago.  It’s a bitter-sweet ending to a 5-year, 60-issue period of my life as head editor at R/C Car.  I’m proud of the work we created and ecstatic that I was able to share it with all of you.  Still, I felt the need to move on in my career, and I submitted my resignation last Friday.  This led, in a small part but not entirely so, to the magazine closing that day.  It was a surprise, and a rough mix of emotions. "
