Korea – The Kyosho Masters 1/8 Offroad took place in Kyunggi-do and this event proved to be a huge success for LRP and the completely new LRP Z.28R Spec.3 Truggy engine.

The Kyosho Masters was the biggest race of the year in Korea. Most of the factory and team drivers attended the event despite the fact that the KOREAN National Championship was held just a few weeks before on the same track. It was LRP/Xray driver ‘Hong, Jung Ho’ who found himself as Top Qualifier after the qualification and together with his LRP Z.28R engine he looked absolutely unstoppable. Jung Ho Hong continued his dominating form from the qualification in the final and won it in an impressive style. His best laptime in the final was in fact 3 seconds faster than that of runner-up ‘Oh, Joong Suk’.

“Mr.Hong Jung Ho, how did the LRP Z.28R Engine perform?”

Hong Jung Ho: “The LRP Z.28R engine was very reliable and very fast, giving me a win this year. It was my first LRP engine and I was very satisfied with it. I’m looking forward to use the LRP engine the remaining season.”

Nitro Engine's: 1/8th Off-Road tuned exhaust system (1558 Reads)
Posted by admin on Tuesday, July 03, 2007 - 02:47 PM

LRP

A good engine is nothing without a performance exhaust system to channel the waste gases. If an inferior pipe is used the engines back pressure will suffer and your car may not leap from the apex as you would like!
Traditionally the manifold and pipe have been married together using a silicone joiner sleeve strapped down with plastic ties. This has never been the ideal solution, after all it is very important to have a streamlined flow to gain the ultimate performance. LRP have updated their pipe range with this new Spec 2 version of their popular tuned performance exhaust. Carrying its EFRA #2063 stamp, this new polished three-chamber system has been designed and extensively tested by the official factory team and gives the engine the ideal power band.
The flanged joiner system uses silicone gaskets to seal the joins, but the flow from manifold to pipe remains smooth and uninterrupted. The added support between the stinger tip and the main body of the pipe further reduces the risk of damage.
The system comes with the more commonly used high-torque manifold, but a specific high speed manifold is also available as a separate item for those situations where top speed is more important than low end grunt!
