Wicked

glad to have some ae drivers on board,

1 question im overall happy with the car except the shocks,  on sunday i had to drive slower because the car was bouncing alot in fact everytime i tried to lay the power down

i am running stock pistons and springs, would it be an improvement if i drilled in 2 extra holes  maybe 1.1m

i was running 40    45 in the shocks as well    and  5 5 5 in the diffs

cheers

Hi Brian
Shock set up was a hard one this weekend at DRT, the track on Sunday will probably be the roughest were going to drive on due to last months TYRO and nobody able to do track maintanance since that event. Looking at your oils mate i'd say they're were a bit light for the conditions, try going up 10wt all round to 55wt front and 45 maybe 50wt in the rear, this is what i ended up with for the final with 1.6pistons and Xray light blue springs and found it best overall for the jumps and the rough sections, as for the drilled pistons which i used in the 1st round with 55wt all round i found on the jumps they were really good on landing and getting the power on hard but over the rough sections the car would need i lot of correcting as it didn't soak up the rough area's as much as i'd like causing the car to step out.   I have used the drilled pistons at WARE and they were very good in all area's but at the moment DRT and WARE are very different surfaces.

Also Brian try a thinner rear diff, what i did see of your car m8 (in between it trying to be a pogo stick) was that it was very loose on the back end, i didn't get to see what roll bars you were running but i ended up with silver at the rear and black on the front.

Hope this helps m8
Reece

EDIT !!!
Just looking over your post again and it says your using the kit pistons, these are 1.6pistons, its the 1.4pistons that are drilled with the 2 1.1mm holes

Grand Job Reece,

i bought the piston set so ill drill the 1.4's  and leave the stockers alone,

i was running the stock roll bar as well but i have bought the optional ones so ill try a thinner one on the rear as well as lighter rear diff oil

Cheers fella Grin
