These blocks now come in a range of 10, 12, 14 & 16 deg giving you a range of various castors. The composit versions are very strong so the strength issue is not the reason why we run them.  Are finding are the Ali blocks give the car a more positive feel on the steering, the blocks also allow for slightly more steering lock which is always a help on a tight turn. In my view a need to have item.
