I allways found the rc8 liked 7 7 3, or 5 7 3, if your running the sterring ackerman mod, 7 7 7 or 5 5 5 seems to work well also.

As the RC8 has a large amount of steering lock, depending how you drive, 10-7-3/2 or 7-5-3/2 can work really well. On power it will pull the car more to control the back stepping out and in the serious rough the car gets pulled through more to keep it stable... the car seems to buck about less under acceleration.
I found it to work great 10/7/2 at Clanfield when it was very blown out, and super slippery wet astroturf this weekend. (I just won the summer series wooohooo!)
As base set up, as mentioned before 5-5-2 or 5-5-3 works great but do try the 5-5-5 at some point, i never got on with it but many do.
