Same here, even with a few glitches it was a great days racing. Well done to the guys for the track prep, even after the downpour the track was still in very good condition and made for much better racing.
Congrats to the winners.  Grin

Another vote of thanks for Sunday Cheesy  Would've lent a hand with track prep on the day, but was laid up all last week and didn't have the energy!  For all those that attended, rest assured the track will be just as good for the next round (once we've sorted another work party or 2 in the coming weeks!)

For the first time I actually felt like I was getting on OK with the buggy - really enjoyed battling with Glen and Jason in the final.  Am now in 2 minds over whether to go back to truggy racing in the summer or to splash out on a more up to date buggy to keep you guys honest!

The most enjoyable days racing i've had in a long time, well done to all the guys for getting the track in to the condition it was on Sunday all the hard work you've put in is now paying off, after the rain Saturday night i had visions of it not happening Sunday. See you all at the next round and bring on the summer.

I may not have been racing, but yeah it was a blast for me too. The fact that everyone seem to enjoy themselves even with the loop playing up at the beginning of the day.

Getting the sportsman award was really nice too, cheers everyone who put me forward for it. I'll be back out there battling next round though, so no one should get their hopes up  Grin

Track prep for round 3 is going to be a lot easier than we thought, the track held up amazingly considering the weather the night before. It was really nice to see You at the track Neil, and having Bernard come and enjoy the racing was just the cherry on the cake.

Hopefully the atmosphere generated at round 2 will carry on for the remainder of the series.

Here's the handful of pics I took before the track was fully prepped on Sunday morning - considering a good 20mm of rain was predicted to fall it was in remarkable condition even at the start of the day!

Its hard to believe that the track even looked like that at the start of the day but thats the secret of DRT it dry's and drains well

WOW that track is surprising . . i woke up very early sunday morning and it was still raining so back to bed i went, considering this time last year one of the rounds was very heavy rain and didn't look anything like that just goes to show what a great job all you guys are doing down there.

Agreed great day superb racing and atmosphere, great to see mr pirate racing and smiling about it.
Everone was mature and sensible as marshalling was hard in first round due to how slippery underfoot.
ill try and make the next track party but sats can be difficult as i still have to drive trains lol.
Dont take the bump out on main stright as ive had a sign made for `Blundens Bump`

lol
