Truman wins PetitRC race

This weekend the 17th-18th Jan saw the 3rd annual PetitRC race. The event has been held in France for the previous 2 years but 2009 saw it held in the UK, at the Maritime raceway venue. Tony Truman Hot Bodies team driver was in attendance on Sunday with his Orion powered Hot Bodies D4. Qualifying was FTD and this went well for Tony, being able to lay down a perfect mistake free run in round 3 to TQ the event by 4 seconds.



Finals

Tony finished 2ND in leg 1 after after a little mistake cost him the win, losing out by 1 second. Leg 2 was a better result leading from flag to flag and was the only driver to get through for 17 laps. Going into leg 3 Tony needed another good result, to win the meeting. After about lap 3 Tony clipped a corner putting him back to 4TH but was able to battled back up to second and after a charging drive, just missed out again on catching the leader. Second in leg 3 was enough to see Tony take the meeting and become Petit RC 4WD champion!
