What for mate, the buggy or truggy?

Did you get that RC8T set up I sent you a while back?

oh? I did send you one, maybe I got the address wrong..

Anyway, I'm not really the best person for set ups, theres loads on the AE website. I have the buggy the same as maifields world setup. The things I have changed for nova are slightly lower ride height, and in the dry I run 25wt in the shocks with 10 hole 1.1mm pistons. Gold springs on the front, black springs on the back. In the wet there is no grip so you need to soften the car, silver rear swaybar, springs etc...

The truggy is the same, but with silver springs and 30wt oil all round. In the diffs I run 5-7-3 sometimes 5 in the back, haven't really decided which one is I prefer yet. I don't change anything on this for the wet as the truggy drifts real nice anyway. I have to say though, I didn't have much low speed steering at the weekend and found the slow bends after the berm to be really slow and somewhere I felt I lost time. I'm waiting on some thinner wheel extenders that i'm told will help with slow speed steering (anything else I should try?). I run 14/50 on the gearing, pulls the engine into the centre more. But I wanted more top end down the straight should've changed to a 15 but I didn't have one, felt like I lost some time there too, think I'll just run a 15 from now on..

Other things, run the wings as far forward as you can, only use 2 screws on the back wing mount holes in the first mounting holes on the wingmount. This will give you more slow steering. My buggy has sooo much turn in its awesome, just hope I can get the truggy to do the same with the slimmer wheel extenders.

I run those setups on dirt too, just with higher ride height. Seems to work fine, but hopefully someone with more experience will chime in and help you (and me!) out here.

EASY DRIVE SETUP

Diffs 5-5-5

Wing as far forward as poss

Do the battery re-location and steering mod you'll find this on the AE forum if not i can help you with it.

Big bore shocks - Try standard 1.3 pistons front an rear with 40wt oil in the front an 30wt or 35wt in the rear.

Bronze front springs and silvers on the rear

Then drive flat out
