A reasonable turn out to clanfield & the 2nd round of the winter series, with winter being it & sub zero temperatures dam it was cold. Young Elliott braving the cold preparing for nitro mania next week bet its colder there seeing the forcast ahead  Shocked . Kevin Brunsden also somwhere under all those coats & hats could just see his glasses.
The track & surrounding area was frozen solid at -2 deg C but the clear blue sky would defrost it around midday.
Tony allowed a brief practice but the ice made it pointless other than reminding us it was bumpy & hard.
Like  i said a reasonable turn out with 4 full heats one truggy & 3 buggy with the electric heat being dropped showing this class has not really taken hold as it has in other countries.

Rnd 1 went to me ya hoooo being very close between yours trully kevin & elliot.
Rnd 2 Elliot failed to start & kevin took the round .
Rnd 3 kevin stayed in to muddy ( tart ) Elliot found his pace taking the round after swapping the lead with me several times & pipping me to the line  Sad
Rnd 4 All out to play again & on the same part of track, saw dust had been used to dry up the defrosting track taking its toll on elliot mid race with a locked rear wheel or so he said Wink. I binned it giving the round to kevin who was flying who piped me for TQ.

The final carried off like qualifying & a great battle all race. Very little between us with matching lap times & fastest laps, all of us led for a period & all falling victim to the roughh track with random grip roll crashes that happen. Elliot & myself paying the heavier toll mid race being furthest away from a slow marshall. Where Kevin had the same later on bringing us all back together again & a close finish Kevin then Elliott & myself

Cheers guys great race & clean battle so look forward to te next one.

Weather looks bad for this next weekend so can see me having a weekend off but maybe Slough on the 17th all being well.

Cheers & see ya at the next one.
