--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi guys

I'm a builder so tv's are out of my range, so i need help or advice on mine.

I have a LG lcd tv, when not in use it sits in standby .. today whislt in standby we had a powercut and now we have no tv lol now this may be coincidence or the power cut has caused a problem with the tv. Now checked the fuse it's good, if left powered off for 5 mins when i switch the mains on the little led on the front lights up ( .5 of second) but then goes out.

Now is there a reset button within the tv? Is there another fuse but within the tv? Do i get a repairman?

Thanks in advance

Hi there

I used to work for LG and it sounds like a repair job. probably the capacitor on the psu has taken a surge.

If its under warranty call LG, if its 32" or unde it will have to be picked up and taken away for repair, but if its bigger usually the repair will be done at your home.

Cheers fella, Not under warrenty  Sad

I was gonna take the back off and do a bit of circuit testing if the power does get past the psu then i would assume that was the fault, i have found a lg psu on the net for £50.00 order that and fit myself.
