Hi,

It may help the guys if you tell them what track you racing on and if its one that they havent seen before perhaps a few pics would assist the Mugen racers in giving you a good setup  Wink

Good thinking 99 Grin .I race on a movable grass track that we setup in the morning and pack up in the arvo. The Radio Rally Club in Perth Western Australia(were Ian hayley came over to live from the mother land Smiley)

Most meets we have a tight technical track that can have some dampness on the grass in the morning but is dry by lunch.most ppls use grass snakes, angle spikes type tires

No problem, obviously setups are down to preference so please test this and tune to suit, i use ultimate oil for shocks and diffs..

Is the track flat/bumpy

don't be scared of heavy diffs either

Has someone every tried to cut off and use rear swaybars in the front? The thickest swaybar for the is 2.6mm and I heard some people are using 3.0mm swaybars in the front against traction roll and 2.6-3.0mm's in the rear.

What did you like the best on astroturf? I'm pretty new to the mbx6.

When I was running my Losi 8ight, the thickest swaybar I could fit in the front was 2.7mm. And 3.0mm in the rear.

I drove it 2.7mm in the front and 2.7mm in the rear too. I tried 2.7mm frond and 3.0mm rear, but I didn't like how the rear end was handling. I still had very good grip on the front and had to be very easy with steering or the car would roll over.

I think I'll try this:
3.0mm front 3.0mm rear
3.0mm front 2.8mm rear
2.8mm front 2.8mm rear

What do you think what's best for astroturf with the mbx6?

Thanks for that Glorykid. The track stays prity smooth during a 1 day race meet with some corners loosing the grass and leaving roots showing.Ive never gone heavier than 10/7/5 in the diffs but im going to try 10/10/7 next club day.Glory, your run 6 deg camber(wow) do you run 6 in the rear as well?

camber is a really important tuning tool, high grip surfaces this will combat grip roll more that any other tune you do.
try it Wink

Is that -6 with the chasis against the ground or with normal ride height? We run 2-3 degree's on astroturf.
