Navan nitro nuts held their open day to launch their new astro track. With a little astro advice from the mirage team I headed off down to southern Ireland hoping that the weather would hold...

After the practice I installed the truggy diffs and it was a major change to the car it was now laying down the power providing good take off speed for the jumps .The falcon engine with a late clutch was looking very smooth and powerful.

After round 1 I had TQ by 2 laps and had broken the lap record. It then started to rain and I softened the shocks off to take TQ in round 2 and 3 which meant I was starting 1st in the A main.

The jumps on the track where nasty to say the least but in a good way, the reward was plentiful if you got them right and the Xray jumped brilliantly. On the last lap of the final I had a suspension failure due to another car hitting me but the good old Xray on 3 wheels still managed to cross the line first a lap and half up on the rest of the field.
