My sons 808 buggy is wearing the front tyers out a lot faster than the rears. I have rebuilt the car over the winter and filled the diffs with fresh oil 5 5 3. Would changing the oils inprove this ?. Any sudgetions.

It really depends what make oils and tyres you're using and how abrasive the track is - where do you run?

Using Xray oils, what you're running is pretty close to what most run as far as I'm aware - typical is 4-4-2 or 5-5-2.  It also depends if there's a handling trait he's driving around by being more aggressive on the throttle to compensate for?  If the car is understeering too much and he's being hard on the gas to pull it through corners it might need a tweak of rear suspension to get the rear rotating more into and through corners.

Worth studying the Hudy setup book to understand what effect changing the diff oils might have to see if that'll help.

Thanks for the reply. I think you might be right about the aggressive driving. Trying to get him to think about his driving rather than driving hard on the gas all the time.
