What clutch system are you guys using ????

what clutch system would you recommend for an RB ws73 on compact dirt or astro i have only ever used the Hong Nor long life set up but i want a change and if there is something more suited to my engine then i want to give it a go this year. so whats everyone using???

I used to use the Mugen ally shoes which where twice the price of the Hong Nor ones then moved to the HN ones and never noticed a difference and that was on a WS7 3 in an MBX5 Prospec.

In my XT8 and OS V-Spec I now just use the lightweight Xray ally shoes and medium springs and it works fine for me.

Why did you want a change? Is your current setup not working?

Just asking cos if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I run the xray ali shoes 1.71g on my RBWS7III with the 0.9mm springs and the blue seal bearings and never had any issue only thing you need to do after every race day is check the shoes and de bur them if needed.

to be fair the HN works perfectly fine i just feel like i may be missing something as i have only ever used the HN longlifes.... also at the moment it isnt sitting that well on my xray flywheel so i thought instead of getting a whole new HN set up i might aswell try something else.

Use the xray ones
